Privacy Policy for Helen Game Factory
Last Updated: June 22, 2026
Helen Game Factory (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website http://helengamefactory.com.au and our mobile applications, including the game Pixel Merger: Drop & Match (collectively, the “Services”).
We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our users, especially children. Because our mobile games are designed for a broad audience including families and children aged 4 to 11, we take extra precautions to protect user privacy in compliance with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Google Play Developer Policies.
1. Information Collected Automatically via Mobile Games
Our mobile games do not require users to create an account, log in, or manually submit personal information like names, addresses, or phone numbers. However, to ensure smooth gameplay, analyze performance, and serve appropriate advertisements, our third-party SDK partners automatically collect certain technical, non-personally identifiable identifiers.
A. Unity Analytics
We use Unity Analytics to understand player behavior and optimize gameplay loops. The data collected includes:
- Device Properties: Device model, operating system version, and hardware capabilities.
- Game Activity: Game starts, levels played, scores achieved, button clicks (such as utilizing the Hammer or Tilt power-ups), and session duration.
- Identifiers: Randomized, anonymous installation IDs used strictly to track aggregate gameplay metrics.
B. Unity LevelPlay (Ad Mediation)
We use Unity LevelPlay to deliver advertisements that keep our games free to play. The data collected by LevelPlay and its bidding partners (such as Google AdMob) includes:
- Approximate Location: IP address-derived country or region (used to serve ads in the correct language).
- Device Identifiers: Mobile advertising IDs (such as Android AAID), subject to device settings and age limitations.
2. Children’s Privacy & COPPA Compliance
We take child safety with the utmost seriousness. Our games comply strictly with COPPA and the Google Play Families Policy.
- No Tracking of Minors: For players identified as children under the age of 13, technical identifiers are used solely for internal operations (e.g., frequency capping, analytics, and security).
- Contextual-Only Advertising: Through Unity LevelPlay, we flag child-directed traffic as COPPA-compliant. This forces the ad mediation system to turn off behavioral profiling and tracking. Children under 13 will only see contextual, family-friendly ads certified under Google’s Families Self-Certified Ads Program.
- No Personal Data: We do not knowingly collect, store, or share any personal data from children under 13.
3. Information Collected via Our Website (helengamefactory.com.au)
If you visit our official studio website, the following standard web data processing applies:
- Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist in spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to verify usage (Privacy Policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/).
- Media: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors can download and extract this data.
- Cookies: * If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience (lasting one year).
- If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine if your browser accepts cookies (contains no personal data, discarded upon closing).
- Logging in sets up cookies to save login info (lasts two days) and screen choices (lasts one year). “Remember Me” keeps logins active for two weeks.
- Editing or publishing an article saves an additional temporary cookie indicating the post ID (expires after 1 day).
- Embedded Content: Articles or pages on our site may include embedded content (videos, images, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited the external website, which may collect data, use cookies, and monitor interactions.
4. Data Encryption, Retention, and Sharing
- Security: All data transmitted by the Unity Analytics and LevelPlay SDKs is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS).
- Retention: We only retain anonymous game performance metrics for as long as necessary to analyze and improve game performance. Website comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely to automatically recognize follow-up comments.
- Sharing: We do not sell user data. Website interactions may be checked through an automated spam detection service. If you request a password reset on our site, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
5. Your Rights and Data Deletion
Depending on your location (such as the European Economic Area under the GDPR), you or your parent/legal guardian have the right to access, restrict, or request the deletion of any personal data we hold.
Because we do not collect names or emails inside our games, mobile data is tied entirely to your anonymous device ID. If you wish to request data deletion, you can do so through the privacy controls provided in your mobile device settings (e.g., “Reset Advertising ID” or “Opt-out of Personalized Ads”) or by contacting us at the email address below. For website accounts, you can request an exported file or request that we erase any personal data we hold (excluding data kept for administrative, legal, or security purposes).
6. Third-Party Links & Privacy Policies
The third-party service providers utilized in our games govern their data handling through their respective privacy policies. We encourage you to review them:
- Unity Technologies (Analytics & Ads): https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Google Play Services & AdMob: https://policies.google.com/privacy
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top.
